Historic Weekend

This weekend long event will include a living history encampment full of demonstrators, craftsmen, vendors and re-enactors. Friday night will feature a flag retirement ceremony at dusk. Saturday events will include children's activities with the U. S. Navy in the morning, a 2:00 pm parade, 3:00 pm memorial ceremony honoring those who fought in the Battle of Lake Erie. The ceremony will be followed by an ice cream social, barbershop performance and living history program '' The Navy Now and Then'' with participation from Naval cadets from the U. S. S. Lake Erie. Saturday evening will conclude with a 6:00 pm production by the Toledo Symphony. Sunday events will include carronade demonstrations, and art activities for children in the morning. This historic encampment will be open from 10:00 am- 6:00 pm Friday - to Sunday.
