Fort Malden National 
  Historic Site of Canada.
 Fort Malden commemorates a period when the destiny of Canada was determined by military action. An important piece of history during the War of 1812. 






 





Bondy House Bed & Breakfast

A distinctive turreted Victorian house in the Garrison section of Amherstburg, built in 1904.

 


Commissariat

This one-storey brick building was constructed in 1831 as the office for the Commissariat Dept. at Fort Malden.

 

 


Gibson Gallery

 

The former Michigan Central Railroad Station is a one-storey building of red brick, Romanesque in style.

 


Honor’s Country House Bed & Breakfast

This residence built in the Arts & Crafts and Prairie style based on an efficient foursquare design.

 


Loretta Rose Tea Chest

Originally part of a housing block or “Dolly Varden” built in 1874 for workers at Park and Borrowman Mills.

 


 
Navy Yard Park/Masonic Pavilion

The Masonic Pavilion was a present to the people of Amherstburg from Thistle Masonic Lodge on their 150th anniversary.

 


North American Black Historical Museum Complex

The fieldstone Nazrey A.M.E. Church, a national historic site, has been restored to its 1888 appearance.

 


Park
House Museum

Now Amherstburg’s Community Museum the Park House was built prior to 1798 and  floated the pièce sur from Detroit.

 


Rindlisbacher Residence

This "magnificent homestead" was built by Lewis Arner in 1888.

 


Royal Canadian Legion

Built circa 1866 by John R. Park Jr., this stone structure originally had stucco walls and a widow's walk.

 


St. Joseph’s Church, River Canard

Designed by Montreal architect J.O. Turgeon in the Romanesque style and dedicated in 1916 this was the third largest church in the London diocese.

 


Stapleton Residence

Local contractor Alex Ellis built this home, as well as the adjacent residence, in 1884 as a rental property for Sarah Jones.

 


Willoughby
Residence

You will find this delightful example of Carpenter Gothic in the heart of Amherstburg’s old residential core, steps away from Navy Yard Park.
