Building Services
The 2011 building season indicated a positive increase in overall development for the Town. We look forward to 2012!
The Building Department is located in the lower level of Town Hall at 271 Sandwich Street S.
For any inquiries related to permits, fees or the application process, please contact our department directly at (519) 736-5408. We are here to help!
Building Services Include Issuance of: 
- Building Permits
- Demolition Permits
- Plumbing Permits
- Pool Permits
- Septic/Sewer Permits
- Sign Permits
Other duties of the department include:
• Inspection of Permits
• Property Standards Complaints
• Yard Maintenance Complaints
• Administrating the Ontario Heritage Act
• Building Code Inquiries
Please note that most permits are subject to applicable fees and deposits. Your permit application must accompany 2 sets of structural drawings, including a site plan and any other applicable forms/approvals as well as the deposit. We regret that we cannot review incomplete applications.
Please also note that you may be subject to ERCA (Essex Region Conservation Authority) regulations. Please contact their office at 519-776-5209 for information.
