Held annually on the first weekend in June.
Amherstburg Firefighters J. " Wimpy " Tiefenbach Annual Volleyball Tournament
The Amherstburg Firefighters annual volleyball tournament is held at Amherstburg's Larry Bauer / United Communities Credit Union Center at 3295 Meloche Rd. Invitations are sent to previous years players and teams, and the remaining registrants are admitted on a first come first serve basis.
This year's tournament will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2013. Rain date, rain or shine on Sunday, June 9th, 2013.
The concept of the tournament will be “Seek your own level” which will enable all entries to compete in a division according to their ability. Please be advised that there will be four divisions namely:
1. Co-ed Wreck Division – 40 years and over
2. Women’s Division
3. Co-ed Division
4. Co-ed Masters Division – 30 years and over
Everyone is welcome to attend the field for the games and the BBQ. Come out for a fun-filled day. We are also going to be playing near the Miracle League baseball diamonds and part of the proceeds of our tournament will be donated to their organization.
All proceeds are donated back to the community via bursaries at local high schools and to various charities by the Amherstburg Firefighters Association.
$120.00 per team.
If we have not filled the roster by May 10th, 2013, we will open the tournament up on a “first come, first serve basis”. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU REGISTER YOUR TEAM BY MAY 10, 2013.
