There is nothing better than an afternoon with family and friends at the park. Amherstburg has a park for everyone! All of our parks make for great picnic spots, are free to visit and accessible to everyone. Whether you are looking for a peaceful park to watch freighters pass or a park that the kids will love, we have it all!
Austin 'Toddy' Jones Park
This 4 acre park is situated between Sandwich Street and North Street and has something to offer for the whole family. Cool off at the new and popular Splash Pad open on weekends in June, and daily from July 1st until labour day weekend 10:00am until 8:00pm. Another children's favourite is the brand new Inclusive playground. We promise you will love it here!

King's Navy Yard Park
An Amherstburg gem, this beautiful 10.5 acre park offers a tranquil setting to relax and enjoy the gardens and waterfront view. With lots of shade this park is the perfect location for a picnic. The park blends history with beauty, it is home to the Commissariat Building and replica cannons. Located in the downtown core it is within short walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants and museums. The gorgeous flower gardens offer countless photo opportunities for you to take advantage of!

H.Murray Smith Centennial Park & Ralph McCurdy Track Complex
With an area of 27 acres, Centennial Park is Amherstburg's largest park. It combines many facilities into one large complex making it a great location for special events and gatherings. The park's ammenities include the Amherstburg Arena, Lion's Pool, skateboard park, four (4) baseball diamonds, five (5) tennis courts (one is lit), a basketball court, two (2) volleyball courts, playground areas, picnic tables, an all weather track surface for an active waking experience and a football/soccer field. For Lion's Pool hours call (519) 736-7191. With so much to offer, Centennial Park makes for a great afternoon of fun & leisure for the whole family!

Holiday Beach Conservation Area

Holiday Beach is a one stop destination for nature lovers. Holiday Beach features a long sandy beach, serviced campsites, new showers & washrooms, large shady picnic areas, a playground, nature trails, boardwalk, trout pound and a three (3) storey observation tower. The perfect spot for hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, bird watching, boating and much more! Check out their website for more details!

Bill Wigle Park
This 3.5 acre park located on Laird Avenue and North Street downtown Amherstburg houses a lighted ball diamond and a travel hardball diamond which was rennovated in 2001. Stop by on a spring or summer evening and you are sure to catch an exciting game!
Angstrom Park
Located at the intersection of Country Rd 20 and Country Rd 10, this 1 acre waterfront park is a great spot for a relaxing picnic by the River. Angstrom Park is connected to Wyandotte Indian Cemetery, one of the last remaining Indian Cemeteries in the area.
Seagram Park
This stunning 0.5 acre park is located just outside of Seagram's on Sandwich St. (County Rd. 20). Complete with park benches, a beautiful walkway and flower gardens maintained by the Horticultural Society it is a great spot for pictures. Across the road from the Detroit River, visitors to the park can also enjoy the spectacular waterfront view.
Malden Centre Park
Just off of County Rd 20 and Concession 6 South, this 11 acre park is a popular destination for families. The park has five (5) baseball diamonds, batting cage, four (4) tennis courts, basketball court, soccer field, picnic shelter (expanded in 1997), concession area, public washrooms, picnic tables, large playground area (updated in 2001) and tractor pull area. About ten minute drive from downtown Amherstburg, the peaceful atmosphere of the county.
Amherstburg Farmers Market
The bounty is endless...flowers, meats, fish, vegetables, herbs, fruits, organic products, baked goods, crafts and the list goes on! Produce is "grown right here," so you can see, smell and taste the difference! Meet the farmers that grow our food. Our Farmers Market is located at Malden Community & Cultural Centre (aka "Little White Church") at 7860 County Road 20 & Howard in Amherstburg.
