Pickleball Courts Grand Opening

The eight new pickleball courts at the Libro Centre are in use with the recent official grand opening on Saturday, June 21st. 

New LCBO Store officially opens in Amherstburg!

A grand opening ceremony was held last Thursday, June 19th, 2025 at the new location, which is within the Walmart plaza at 400 Sandwich St. S. LCBO executives along with suppliers and vendors attended the grand opening event. 

The Yoga Effect in Amherstburg!

A new yoga and pilates studio has opened in Amherstburg. The Yoga Effect opened its doors at 134 Richmond St., the second location in Essex County. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was on June 21st, 2025 in Amherstburg. 

Studio Seven Ribbon Cutting

A thoughtfully created Pilates boutique studio by mother-daughter duo Laura and Danijela, whose shared love for Pilates blossomed into something much more. With a deep appreciation for health, wellness, and the power of mindful movement, they combined their knowledge and heart to bring Studio Seven to life. 

Amanda Kerr Fitness Now Open!

Amanda Kerr Fitness had their ribbon-cutting on May 31st. Kerr indicated she wants to help train and nourish clients as she improves their well-being. 

Site Zero General Store & Eatery is Now Open!

Site Zero General Store & Eatery opened May 23rd. Located within the Sun Retreats campground on Pike Road, open under new ownership of Dan and Megan Monk. The family-run business is open daily. 

Mercato Fresh Now in Amherstburg!

Mercato Fresh officially opened their doors at 8:00 AM on May 08th, 2025 in Amherstburg.  They bring a wide selection of fresh produce, deli meats, baked goods, sushi, and more.  We're excited to welcome them as they serve our community with quality and convenience.

Located at the rear of 200 St. Arnaud St., Windsor Hot Tub & Sauna Store's second location is now in town.

What was once a landmark restaurant is now a place dedicated to wellness and rejuvenation. 

The Point Wellness Spa has opened at 1430 Front Road South, in the location that was formerly Ducks on the Roof restaurant. 

Taco Bell opens its doors in Amherstburg

The long-awaited arrival of a Taco Bell in Amherstburg is here.

The fast food restaurant opened Tuesday at 527 Sandwich St. S., with a ribbon cutting held on Monday afternoon to celebrate Taco Bell's arrival. 

New owners at Flowers by Anna

New ownership at an Amherstburg flower shop was the subject of a ribbon cutting ceremony last week. 

Mayor Michael Prue and Deputy Mayor Chris Gibb, along with economic development staff from the Town of Amherstburg, were at Flowers by Anna last Thursday morning to commemorate the new ownership at the florist. 

Builder has big night at award ceremony

An Amherstburg builder has been honoured with four awards from Windsor-Essex Home Builders Association.

Nor-built Construction captured four awards at the recent ceremony, the largest of which was 2024 Builder of the Year.
