LIBRO CENTRE CODE OF CONDUCT

The Town of Amherstburg Code of Conduct has been developed to ensure a positive and safe environment for participants and spectators.

Please help us in the safe delivery of recreation services on Town property by displaying good sportsmanship and respect for the players, fans, coaches, officials and Town staff.

Please monitor your children at all times. Children under the age of 13 MUST be accompanied by an adult or responsible guardian and remain under direct supervision (within eye sight) when not directly participating in a scheduled activity or program.

Immediately report suspicious behaviour or incidents to Town staff.

The Town is not responsible for personal injury or damage, or for lost or stolen clothing or equipment; security of personal belongings is the patron’s responsibility.

Please use the trash/recycle bins provided.

In an emergency, everyone must prepare to evacuate and follow directions from staff.

The following activities are strictly PROHIBITED:

  • Loitering or hanging around before or beyond scheduled events
  • Congregating in areas that interfere with the flow of traffic, including entrances, exits and hallways
  • Verbal or physical abuse, acting in an intimidating, disrespectful or disruptive behaviour
  • Damaging or defacing municipal property
  • Consumption of alcohol, drugs, e-cigarettes and tobacco on Town property (licensed alcohol events excepted)
  • Shooting pucks or use of any other equipment, including but not limited to skipping ropes, sticks, balls, mats, weights, etc., which may interfere with the safety of all patrons
  • Dryland training, unsafe or active play (such as tag, horseplay) in public areas
  • Scooters, hoverboards, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, Heelys or any other wheeled device or cleats
  • Animals other than a licensed Service animal
  • Use of cell phone cameras within the restrooms, locker rooms and shower areas.

Those who violate the Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the property, and police may be called. Violations are subject to disciplinary action, which may result in losing facility privileges and potential termination of access.
