Do Business

The Town of Amherstburg is strategically located in Southwestern Ontario, with access to the new Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway, Highway 401, Highway 3, and within a 20 minute drive of existing and planned new Detroit River International Crossings to the United States.

Amherstburg offers numerous pre-designated parcels of land that can accommodate a broad range of light and heavy industrial, commercial and residential building activity.

Many parcels are already serviced and zoned, "shovel/building permit ready". Other properties are pre-zoned with a holding zone symbol identifying the permitted land uses at that location. Removal of the holding symbol occurs when the proposed use of the site is determined and the site plan approved by council.  Availability and confirmation of servicing is also required at this time.
