At this time we offer a variety of contactless payment options for you to pay your property tax bills and fees.
As of August 2022, Residents can pay ALL INVOICES online through Amherstburg's Online Payment Portal.
The Town does not collect any fees from the resident to use the online payment method however the payment processor, Paymentus, collects a user fee.
Ratepayers are encouraged to register for the pre-authorized payment plan to conveniently make property tax payments. The plan enables you to have either 12 monthly payments or 4 installment payments taken directly from your bank account.
Your tax account must be in good standing to qualify.

Once you have a pre-authorized payment plan in place, any changes made to your information must be submitted to the finance department in writing at least TWO WEEKS prior to the next payment date.
To unregister from the plan please complete the Pre-Authorized Payment Cancellation Form.
You can register for online banking payments with your bank. Contact your financial institution for further details.

You may post-date your cheques to the installment due dates. Please write the property roll number on the cheques and include the payment stubs. Property roll numbers are found on each of your tax notices and begin with the numbers 3729. Post-dated cheques can be dropped off at Town Hall in the drop off slot at the rear of the Municipal Building at 271 Sandwich St. South.
Make your cheque payable to Town of Amherstburg and return by mail along with the payment stub to:

Payment by cash, cheque or debit will be accepted at the Municipal Office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
If your tax bill is paid by your mortgage company, you will not receive a tax bill. All information is sent directly to your mortgage company.
