Livestock Damage Program

The Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program provides financial assistance to producers whose livestock, poultry or honey bees have been damaged, injured or killed by wildlife. Under the Program, producers are entitled to make claims to their local municipality for losses. The claims must be made to the Town Clerk within 48 hours of discovering the loss.

The Clerk will notify the Municipal Livestock Valuer, who will make and complete a full investigation within three days of receiving the notification. All claims for compensation are subject to the Livestock Valuer's inspection and report.
