Parking Enforcement-General Regulations

Municipal Law Enforcement Officers enforce the Town’s Parking By-law.

Parking tickets are issued for infractions to the Traffic By-law No 2011-69, as amended.

If you receive a ticket for a parking infraction, you have three options:

Option #1

Payment of early payment (where applicable) within 15 days of the date of infraction to the Town of Amherstburg.

Option #2

Payment of the set fine within 15 days of the infraction, to the Town of Amherstburg. Payment of fine after Notice of Impending Conviction or Notice of Fine & Due Date, which are increased fines.

Option #3

First Attendance - you can request First Attendance, where you believe the ticket was issued in error or you would like to contest the evidence the ticket was based on. Completely fill out option #3 on the reverse side of the ticket with in 15 days of the date of the infraction and deliver it to:
