More Details Coming Soon on Smaller Recycling Cart Option

Amherstburg residents interested in downsizing their recycling cart will soon have the opportunity to request a smaller bin. Circular Materials has announced that a Recycling Cart Exchange Request Form will be available on their website in mid-December. This form will allow residents to exchange their current 360-litre recycling cart for a 240-litre option. 

Circular Materials will share an update as soon as the form and additional details are posted. We will also share this information on our website and across our social media channels to keep residents informed.

As a reminder, starting in January 2026, recycling will become even easier with the rollout of a new single-stream recycling cart system in Essex-Windsor. This means all recyclables can be combined into one cart rather than separated into different boxes. Circular Materials will be fully responsible for operating Ontario’s new recycling system, with GFL Environmental managing local collection on their behalf.
