  • SMART CARDS cannot be altered by punching holes in them. There is chip technology under the service, which may be damaged and render the card useless.
  • Amherstburg will have 3 buses a day, 7 days a week. The schedule may change during the holidays.
  • Amherstburg's service is referred to as ROUTE 605.
  • SMART CARDS should be treated as cash.
  • Purchasing fare ahead of time on a SMART CARD is the most cost-effective ~ cash or debit only.
  • Cash or debit are accepted as methods of payment at Town Hall for SMART CARD purchases.
  • SMART CARDS cost $1 but can be reused by reloading them repeatedly!
  • Verifying card use is up to the driver. He will verify everyone is using the appropriate card. i.e. youth using a youth card & adult is using an adult card. Cards may be confiscated if misused.
  • Using your SMART CARD for more than one fare/person at a time will not work. Each person requires their own SMART CARD.
  • All buses are accessible and have a handy dandy bike rack.
  • Main Windsor Terminal is Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare.
  • When you use your SMART CARD, you can transfer buses for 2 hours following the time you boarded your first bus.
  • To get the most out of your experience, use Transit Windsor's ROUTE MAPS & SCHEDULES and TRANSIT APPS & ONLINE TOOLS to navigate the transit system.
  • The 15-Day & 30-Day Passes include unlimited use for the number of purchased days. If you have 2 days remaining on a SMART CARD and add another 30 days, it will calculate 32 days on your card.
