Amherstburg Raises Flag for National AccessAbility Week

This morning, the Town of Amherstburg proudly raised the flag at the Libro Credit Union Centre in recognition of National AccessAbility Week (May 31 to June 6, 2026).
The ceremony brought together members of the community, local schools, community partners, Council, and the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
Held on Red Shirt Day, the event also included an opportunity for participants to make a personal pledge to actively support accessibility, inclusion, and the rights of people with disabilities throughout the year.
This year’s theme, “Building a Strong, Accessible Canada,” highlights the importance of creating a truly accessible, inclusive, and equitable community for all.
