Amherstburg Waterfront Festival Plaza Officially Opens
This afternoon, we officially opened the Amherstburg Waterfront Festival Plaza this afternoon, marking the completion of the first phase of a new public waterfront space in the heart of downtown.
The opening brought together members of the community, contractors, past and present Councils, and Town staff who played a role in bringing the first phase of the project to life.
Located at 306 Dalhousie Street, the park features new accessible pathways connecting to King’s Navy Yard Park, benches, shoreline improvements, lighting, landscaping and site furnishings. Together, these improvements create a welcoming space for people to enjoy the waterfront.
The park also includes infrastructure to support future growth, festivals, events and programming, creating additional opportunities for the community to gather and enjoy the waterfront throughout the year.
Thank you to the community, contractors, past and present Councils, and staff who contributed to the planning, construction and completion of the first phase of the Amherstburg Waterfront Festival Plaza.
The space is now open to the public!
