Extended Heat Warning Continues: Cooling Station Available for Residents in Need

Following yesterday’s Extended Heat Warning issued by the the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, hot conditions are expected to continue throughout the week. Residents are reminded to take precautions to stay safe in the heat.

For those who may not have access to adequate cooling at home, the Libro Credit Union Centre is available as a cooling station:

  • Today: Open until 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday (Canada Day): 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Lobby only - no other facility amenities will be open)
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Please remember to stay hydrated, limit time in direct sun, and check in on family, friends, and neighbours who may be more vulnerable.
