Extended Heat Warning: Cooling Station Open

An Extended Heat Warning has been issued by the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.

For Amherstburg residents who may not have access to cooling at home, the Libro Credit Union Centre (3295 Meloche Road) is available as a cooling station during the following hours. Access to power and WiFi will be available on site:

• Tuesday, July 14: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Wednesday, July 15: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

The splash pad at Toddy Jones Park (51 North Street) is open daily from 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM and offers an additional outdoor way to cool off.

Please remember to stay hydrated, limit time in the direct sun, and check in on family, friends, and neighbours who may be more vulnerable.
