Green Bin Collection begins this Friday, November 6

Weekly Green Bin collection begins Friday, November 6, with pickup taking place every Friday.
Proper set-out is important, as automated trucks will be used to collect Green Bins. Remember the P-P-S (Park-Point-Space) method to help ensure your bin is collected:
✅ PARK: Place your Green Bin about 30 cm (1 ft) behind the curb.
✅ POINT: Face the arrows on the lid toward the street, with the wheels facing the house.
✅ SPACE: Leave at least one metre between your Green Bin and other carts, vehicles or structures.
A few additional reminders:
- Only EWSWA-issued Green Bins will be collected to ensure compatibility with automated trucks.
- Some locations may require alternative set-out arrangements, including streets with parking restrictions, alternating street parking, one-way streets or homes with limited driveway space.
- If using compostable bags in your Kitchen Catcher, look for the BPI or BNQ certification logos. Store bags in a cool, dry place and avoid buying more than you need, as they are designed to decompose.
- Set up your Kitchen Catcher in a convenient location that works with your household's food preparation, cooking and meal routines.
Keep an eye out for Gold Star or “OOPS!” stickers on your Green Bin. These provide feedback on your set-out and help you learn as you get started with the program.
