Green Bin Delivery Expected to Begin the Week of September 28, 2026

Green Bin delivery is expected to begin in Amherstburg the week of September 28, 2026, as the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA) prepares for the launch of the Green Bin Program in Amherstburg, Kingsville and Leamington this fall. 

Once you receive your Green Bin, EWSWA recommends: 

• Writing your address in the space provided on the back. Your Green Bin is registered to your address.
• Reading the “Welcome” sticker on the bin for helpful tips and information.
• Looking inside your bin. The Green Bin contains additional information and freebies.
• Getting familiar with the How-To Guide to learn what can and cannot go in your Green Bin.
• Storing your Green Bin in a safe place. Green Bin collection will not begin until November.
• Do not use your Green Bin for other collection programs, including garbage or yard waste.
