Open Air Weekends Return to Downtown Amherstburg Friday, June 5

Open Air Weekends are set to return to downtown Amherstburg beginning Friday, June 5!

Running on weekends until Sunday, September 6, the event transforms the downtown core into a pedestrian-friendly destination, with streets closed to vehicle traffic to make room for expanded patios, local shopping, children's activities and live entertainment. The 2026 season will officially kick off on opening night on Friday, June 5 with a vendor market, live music and a bagpipe parade, setting the tone for a lively and engaging summer.

Visitors can expect a mix of activities each weekend, including fun themed weekends, live music, family-friendly programming, yoga in the park, coffee and culture discussions, chess classes, guided historic tours, and opportunities to explore Amherstburg’s unique shops and dining experiences.

New themed events this season include: Carrousel of the Nations Brazilian Village (June 12-14), Pride Weekend (June 26-28), Heritage Weekend (July 31-August 2), Cycle the Burg with WEBC (August 14-16), and Barrels & Brass with the Marsh Historical Collection (August 21-23).
