Public Information Centre Scheduled for Amherstburg Water Treatment Plant Upgrades EA and the Water Master Plan

The Town of Amherstburg invites residents to attend an upcoming combined Public Information Centre (PIC) regarding proposed upgrades to the Amherstburg Water Treatment Plant (WTP) as well to review updates to the Water Master Plan (WMP).

The PIC will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Libro Credit Union Centre (Rink B).

The session will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the proposed projects, including the overall study overview and the identified problem/opportunity statements.  In addition, alternative design concepts for the proposed upgrades at Amherstburg WTP will be presented and discussed.

Public consultation is a vital component of the Environmental Assessment (EA) process. Community members are encouraged to participate, ask questions, and provide feedback as part of this important process.
