Register for Two Free Career Workshops to Help Job Seekers Succeed
The Town of Amherstburg Economic Development team is inviting job seekers to take the next step in their career journey with two free, hands-on workshops designed to build confidence and improve employability skills.
Taking place on April 24, these sessions leading in to Economic Development Week 2026, will focus on two critical stages of the job search process: crafting a strong resume and preparing for interviews and job fairs. Both workshops are offered in partnership with Women's Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. and are open to anyone looking to enhance their job readiness.
- The day begins with Build a Resume That Gets You Hired at 9:00 a.m., where participants will learn how to create a resume that stands out to employers. Attendees will gain practical insights into choosing the right resume format, understanding job postings, and structuring their experience in a clear and compelling way.
- In the afternoon, the Workplace Ready: Job Coaching & Interview Skills at 1:00 p.m. will help participants build confidence and sharpen their approach to interviews and job fairs. The session will cover effective interview techniques, job search strategies, and tips to make a strong impression when meeting potential employers.
Both sessions are free to attend, but space is limited and advance registration is required. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
