Save the Date: River Lights Opening Night is November 14, 2026
River Lights Winter Festival returns on Saturday, November 14, celebrating its 20th anniversary with an evening of holiday festivities in downtown Amherstburg.
Residents and visitors are invited to join the Opening Night celebrations, featuring the Super Santa Run/Walk/Wheel, the official tree lighting, a cannon firing, fireworks and live entertainment. The Gingerbread Warming House will also open for the season.
Opening Night Schedule – Saturday, November 14
- 5 pm – Super Santa Run/Walk/Wheel
- 5:30 pm – Gingerbread Warming House opens in Toddy Jones Park
- 6 pm – Opening Ceremony and Tree Lighting in the Amherstburg Waterfront Festival Plaza
- 6:15 pm – Cannon Firing by the Provincial Marine of Amherstburg
- 6:20 pm – Fireworks over the river
- 6:45 pm – Silver Ambassadors perform in the Amherstburg Waterfront Festival Plaza
