Truth & Reconciliation Gathering: Saturday, September 26, 2026
The Town of Amherstburg invites residents and visitors to join Ska:na Family Learning Centre for an afternoon of learning, listening and cultural celebration in the spirit of healing and reconciliation.
Taking place Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 12–4 pm at King’s Navy Yard Park, the event will provide an opportunity to learn more about Indigenous culture, traditions and stories through a variety of activities and presentations.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees can experience Indigenous dancing, drumming and storytelling, hear teachings from Elders and community speakers, and explore Indigenous arts and crafts from local vendors.
Children and families can take part in EarlyON activities at the teepee, while the Park House Museum will offer free samples of traditional corn soup and fry bread.
Gathering Itinerary
12:00 pm. – Opening Ceremony Gazebo, King’s Navy Yard Park
