Yard Waste Collection Reminder

A friendly reminder to help keep yard waste collection running smoothly. Yard waste is collected on alternating Mondays (April–December) across two collection zones.

Place your materials at the roadside the night before your scheduled pickup.

Accepted containers include: paper yard waste bags, cardboard boxes (not returned), and garbage cans. Plastic bags will not be collected.

Tree trimmings: Must be cut into bundles no longer than 4 feet long and 2 feet in diameter and unbundled branches will not be collected.

The Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority is currently offering a grace period until August 1, 2026 for residents using double-axle trailers to drop off yard waste branches FREE of charge for situations where materials cannot be set out for yard waste collection.
