Report a By-law Infraction

The By-law Enforcement Department is responsible for the investigation and enforcement of all the Town's Municipal By-laws.

How to Report a By-Law Infraction

By-law complaints must be received in writing, unless they relate to an immediate safety threat such as an unsecured swimming pool, aggressive dog, or any other hazard/situation you believe may pose a safety risk to others.

You can also submit a complaint by completing the Complaint Form at Town Hall.

By-law Complaint Process

Once a formal complaint is received, it is assessed and if warranted the matter is investigated by a By-law Officer. The By-law Officer will provide the complainant with an update indicating what actions will be taken based on the investigation findings. In the event the matter did not meet the criteria to be investigated, the By-law Officer would update the complainant of this and provide an explanation.
