Financial Information Returns

Financial Information Return (FIR) is a standard set of year-end reports which capture financial and statistical information for each Municipality in the Province. The FIR is the main data collection tool used by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH). The FIR is completed and submitted to the Ministry each year.

Remuneration and Expenses

Underscoring the Town of Amherstburg's commitment to openness and transparency, and in accordance with the Municipal Act, on or before March 31 each year, town council is provided an itemized statement of remuneration and expenses paid in the previous year to each member of the Council and to each person, other than a member of Council, appointed to any committee.
